Elizabeth Lapidow

I’m a third year PhD student in the Psychology Department of UC San Diego.

I work in Dr. Caren Walker's Early Learning and Cognition Lab. Before graduate school, I received my BA from Sarah Lawrence College and worked as a researcher in Dr. Elizabeth Bonawitz’s Computational Cognitive Development Lab at Rutgers University, Newark.

I study how children and adults seek to ‘figure out’ the world around them. In particular, I am interested in how learners make decisions during exploration. My research is funded by the National Defense Science and Engineering Fellowship Program.

 I usually go by Liz.
